Omega Aid is a nutritional supplement to aid in the management of various skin conditions in dogs. It is designed to significantly increase the Omega 3 fatty acid intake. and so contains high levels of Omega 3. Also included in Omega Aid are vitamins A, D, E, biotin, and Zinc – all of which are essential for skin and coat maintenance and repair. Omega Aid works by correcting any dietary fatty acid imbalances ensuring the supply of the correct nutrients to maintain a healthy skin and coat.
This product is ideal for dogs with dull or poor coats, or ‘scratchy’ skin and comes in an aniseed flavour to ensure palatability.
Essential fatty acids, called Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, are needed by the body, just like vitamins. However, as the body cannot manufacture them they must be supplied by the diet. Fatty acids are major components of membranes such as skin, fur, nails & hair. The health of the skin and coat therefore depends on the type and properties of fatty acid available to them. Omega Aid provides a supplemental source of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids plus vitamins A, D and E, which are beneficial for the maintenance of healthy looking skin and coats in dogs.
