Kalm Aid is an L-Tryptophan based nutritional supplement that helps to calm pets during periods of stress and anxiety. It can also be used to manage long term behavioral issues. Kalm Aid is an effective fast acting liquid which promotes relaxation and reduces nervous irritability. It is useful for situations such as lightning, thunder, firecrackers, anxiety due to separation from owner or new environment, fear of travel or unwanted unruly behaviour.
Kalm Aid contains L- tryptophan and green tea extract. Green tea, when combined with L-tryptophan, supplies the essential amino acids which help stimulate the production of serotonin. Serotonin plays an important role in maintaining calm and relaxation in animals. Kalm Aid also contains Thiamine (Vitamin B1). Deficiency in this crucial vitamin has been associated with nervous disorders.

For short term use: For an individual fear/anxiety, give as above 1-2 hours before the ‘anxious event’. As all pets are individuals, the requirements may vary. A trial may be necessary to determine the current amount for an individual animal. For anxious situations use as and when required.
For long term management of behavioural problems give half the amount daily.
Dosing Guidelines:

| 20 – 30 kg | - 20 ml daily |
| Over 30 kg | - 25 ml daily |
Kalm Aid can be mixed with food. Safe for puppies and kittens however dosage should be 0.5ml per kg or 0.25ml per lb.

I have used this for my very nervous dog she is 13yrs old and had a bad start to her life, I got her at 3 months old. Over the years I have tried lots of things to help her none of them were any good. I found Kalm Aid and thought I would try it. I am so happy i bought this it has made such a difference to my girl. she has no side effects with Kalm Aid. As a final year veterinary student, we had been taught about nutraceutical products in order to manage stress in animals. My dog suffers with very bad anxiety related aggression and although it does completely soothe her, it certainly takes the edge off her and increases her stress threshold. I use this daily at a half dose and she licks it off a spoon or I put it in her food. The main thing with this product is to understand that this is not a magic potion! It is needed to be used in combination with environmental and management changes in order to reduce the anxiety with certain situations. I would certainly recommend this product and expect to see results in the first month. PLEASE GIVE THIS PRODUCT TIME TO WORK, it takes a while for the concentrations of L-Tryptophan to build up serotonin in your pet, which is why you won’t see immediate results. I find it better to try to use a couple of days before an expected event, such as family coming to stay or bonfire night.
